I can't believe summer is basically over! Booo! It's been raining non-stop here in the UK so I feel like we can officially wave goodbye to the sun. I do love Autumnal makeup, but as August has only just finished I don't want to break out all my matte shadows and vampy lips just yet, so I've been reaching for a few products to bridge that gap.
Davines Volu Shampoo: Now, I've never been one to spend a lot on haircare, but lately I have wanted to invest a little bit more into my locks. This is a great shampoo to maintain voluminous roots, something I definitely struggle with. If you have very dry roots, I wouldn't suggest this as it does have that sea salt vibe to it which may dry your hair out. I have oily roots, so that really doesn't bother me at all. The smell is super fresh and overall I've been really happy with this. It definitely gives you that beachy, lived in vibe.
Charlotte Tilbury Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask: This is the first skincare product I've tried from Charlotte Tilbury and I really adore it. It is fairly fragranced, so I was worried it was going to break me out, but so far so good! You pop this on before bed, and wake up with lovely glowing skin. The bronzing element is very subtle in my opinion, it's definitely a gradual process, but it does make your skin look very healthy. I've been using this every 2-3 days to maintain that lovely glow we all crave. If you did pick up a tan over the summer, this would be a lovely product to help keep that going throughout Autumn.
Clinique Chubby Stick Contour: I really do love this, it's not as cool toned as I think some people may like, but it works well for me. I use this underneath my base to create a natural, bronzed contour to the skin. It's so easy to apply, and blends really well with a beauty blender. If you're after that effortless, bronzed look to the skin, this is a great product to have in your collection. It does also work well on top of foundation, but I find it's so much more natural underneath.
Nars God Created the Women Eye Palette*: This is such a great transitional palette, the shades in here are gorgeous. Unfortunately it is no longer available, however Nars are always coming out with similar eye palettes, so be sure to head to your nearest counter and see what they have. This palette has amazing lighter shades, perfect for all over the lid, and some gorgeous deep browns which are great in the Autumn time to create a more vamped up look. The shades blend beautifully and the pigment is awesome. There's a nice mix of mattes and shimmer shades, so loads of options to create some beautiful eye looks.
MAC Twig: Twig is a shade I purchased this time last year, and one I'm so excited to start wearing again. It's a lovely brown-toned, pink shade, but it's on the darker side which is why I save it for Autumn. I would say it's still a nude - kind of - but more on the bolder side of nudes, if you know what I mean! The formula is amazing, it's a satin finish so it's very comfortable to wear. I love MAC lipsticks and there's always at least one I'm reaching for at any given time.
Twig is one of my favourite shades for this time of year too! It's such a pretty pink! X
