I'm always on the hunt for products that will make my fine flat hair look a bit more voluminous. The Adeva Thickening Tonic has been my go to at the moment and the results are amazing. My hair is very flat so if you have a similar hair type you'll love this.

Post shower I'll pop an oil in, dry my hair so it's about 50% dry, spray this in my roots, massage it in and leave it to dry naturally. The spray itself is really fine so it doesn't leave your hair sticky and you can run your fingers through your hair without it feeling too thick and guncky, and about 6-8 sprays does the trick.

I can instantly see a difference, even with wet hair, and when it's dried my hair looks so much more bouncy and voluminous at the roots, it's amazing stuff. I've tried a lot of dry texturing sprays which claim to do a similar thing, but I love that you can use this on wet hair and leave it to do it's magic, it's definitely better than any mousses I've tried too. If you try this please let me know how you got on and if you have any other recommendations.

Another year is over...I really can't believe it...so time to show you all the products I've been loving throughout the year. Some are newer than others, and some you would have heard me talking about all the time, but, these are the products I always reach for. Obviously I may be repeating myself here a little but bare with me and I hope you enjoy.

1. Redken Preparing Blow-dry Lotion - Blow-dry lotions aren't something I would normally use, I usually go in with a heat protectant and leave it at that, this however is life changing. It's a light cream which you run through wet hair and it preps it for drying. It makes my hair so much smoother and shinier and it also contains heat protectant so it's a great multi-purpose product.

2. Maybelline Creamy Beige Colour Tattoo - I've raved on and on about this so I'll keep this short and sweet. It's a fab base for eyeshadow, and on its own it looks lovely too. If you're looking for a nude eyeshadow base, make it this one.

3. Kiehls Daily Reviving Concentrate - I knew I had to try this as soon as it came out and I absolutely love it. A few drops all over the face and it really helps to waken and brighten the skin.

4. Clinique High Lengths Mascara - This was a re-discovery for me after using a sample last year. It's the best mascara for length and definition, I haven't come across anything which compares. If you're okay with spending a bit more on mascaras I would definitely check out Clinique as a brand as they have some amazing formulas.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Barbarella Brown Liner - This year I was on the hunt for a good brown pencil liner, and I found it. This Charlotte Tilbury one is really creamy and blendable but lasts all day. I love this smudged into my upper and lower lash line for an effortless look.

6. L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil - Never have I come across such a silky smooth body wash in my life...post shave, this stuff is amazing at maintaining moisture and it also smells delicious.

7. Liz Earle Eye Bright Soothing Eye Lotion - Tired looking eyes is something I struggle with on the daily, so I love products which brighten and reduce bags. I will pop this on a cotton pad, swipe across my eyes and they feel instantly refreshed.

8. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation - I picked this up in the summer as I was after a lightweight foundation and it really ticks all the boxes for me. It's very buildable and is great to mix in with other foundations to give more a dewy look. If you like your skin to look glowing and natural, this is one for you.

9. St Tropez Express Tan - This is the first "proper" fake tan I've used and I don't really want to use anything else. The fact that the colour is so customisable is amazing and it doesn't leave you sticky or with that typical biscuit scent. It lasts for a good 5 days and the colour is really natural.

10. MAC Syrup Lipstick - Plumful will always have a place in my heart, but this is a more dulled down version. It's still in the plum family colour wise, but it's really moisturising, and is a great everyday shade.

11. Dior Glow Maximiser - I never want to be without this primer, it makes your skin so glowing and sits beautifully under any foundation. The way I love to use this is mixed in with a slightly matter foundation, I find it leaves a flawless dewy look which I love.

12. Benefit Gimme Brows - I never really used eyebrow gels until this one. I use the lighter shade as I find it's less messy and looks better with the lighter tones in my hair. It really does set your brows in place and the little wand makes it really easy to place the product without getting it everywhere.

13. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Cheat - This product really changed the lip liner game for me. The colour is perfect for naturally defining your lips and it looks so good with any nude on top.

14. The Balm Frat Boy Blush - I love blushes that look natural and give off a nice flush of colour. This for me is the perfect everyday blush I reach for when I don't know what else to use. It's a medium pink tone, it's also matte which makes it very wearable.

15. LUSH It's Raining Men Body Wash - I didn't mean to include two body washed in here, but hay ho. This I love for the smell, it is such a nice honey scent I can't get over it and have to smell it every time I'm in LUSH. The formula is also very creamy and nourishing as all LUSH products are.

Time for another makeup shakeup now where I let you in on all the products I've been loving to use in my makeup routine! This season, I've been keeping it fairly simple and natural, using a matte(er) foundation and a pinky nude lip to finish things off.

For my base, I've gone back to my favourite Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation which I love this time  of year, it has excellent coverage but doesn't feel cakey on the skin. I use about a 5p size on the back of my hand then blend it in with my beauty blender, it has an odd moussey texture but once it's on the skin it blends in seamlessly. My concealer choice has changed too, and for once I'm not using my Origins one...instead I've been loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer which is the perfect all rounder. Under the eyes it offers a nice amount of coverage, covering those bags, but it doesn't sit in fine lines or cake up. Around the face it's very moisturising and works well on blemish and around the nose which I find can be dry. I've heard this is very similar to the famous Nars Creamy Concealer, so if you like that you'll love this.

Straight onto eyes now and I haven't been fussing around with different eyeshadows as frankly I haven't had time. If I want something more than eyeliner I'll reach for my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige which is great for evening out the lids and adding some subtle definition. It's a beige shade, as the name suggests, and it stays on all day without creasing. They have some fab colours in this range, but for a natural look, this is my favourite. For my mascara I'm back using my favourite Clinique High Lengths. I had a sample of this last year and was blown away by how it made my lashes look, they were super long, separated, yet defined. The wand is an odd one, it only has one row of short, plastic bristles, meaning it can really get to the root and coat every lash. I haven't yet tired a mascara that compares to this yet, I get so many compliments on my lashes when I wear this, and it will look like you're wearing falsies! I don't normally bother with high-end mascaras, but this is one I'll always go back to.

For my lips I've been loving darker, pinky nudes and I hate to say it but the one I'm about to mention is a very 'Kyle Jenner' shade... Illamasqua Minx is the lipstick in question and this matte formula will last ages and looks great with a lip liner underneath to really define and shape the lips. I haven't heard much about Illamasqua lipsticks but I'll definitely be going back for more as this one is great.

There are two types of products I reach for constantly throughout winter; ones that moisturise and ones that relax the body. The latter is super nice for those pamper nights in and the former for keeping your skin in check.

We'll start off with the body, and first and foremost I have to mention my go-to body wash of the moment, the Sanex Pro Hydrate Shower Cream. I'm not fussy when it comes to body wash, I just tend to get whatever is on offer, but in the winter I always look for ones that cater for dry skin, so, the fact this is labelled for 'very dry skin' makes me very happy. This is a super rich, nourishing cream which sinks in beautifully and leaves your skin feeling soft and supple. My legs especially get very dry, particularly after shaving, but this keeps them hydrated! It's really affordable and definitely a must have for winter.

If you love a good relaxing bath, and don't mind spending a few extra pennies on a bath oil, then the Clarins Relax Bath & Shower Concentrate is one for you. It has a very aromatic scent and really sends the mind and body to sleep which is helped by the camomile enriched throughout. Before bed this is such a treat and sets you up for a good bit of shut eye. I just squeeze a bit under the tap whilst my bath is running and let it work it's magic.

Another one from Clarins which is a saviour for the colder months is their Hand and Nail Treatment Cream. You can never go wrong with investing in a good hand cream, especially in the winter. My hands get really dry and my nails are always brittle so slathering them in this just helps to keep them nourished and presentable. It's a very rich cream which sinks in beautifully and is perfect for an at home manicure.

I have two skincare items to talk about, one for the day and one for the night. The former is the Kiehls Daily Reviving Concrete which helps to wake up and nourish the skin. My skin always looks so dull in the winter so I add in a few products to help combat that, this does a fab job. Just a few drops into the palms of your hands then press it into the skin and you'll find you're instantly having a good skin day. If you have dry/dull skin, I would highly recommend giving this a go. My night option is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask which has the nicest smell in the world. I use this every now and again as the last step in my skincare routine to help nourish my skin and leave it fresh and hydrated by the morning, you can always pop this on in the morning too if you have an event that night. I'm fairly liberal with this stuff, which could be down to the smell, but it feels amazing on the skin.

Take 5: Winter Saviours

Party season is officially here, and with Christmas and New Years right around the corner, I thought I'd share with you some party bits and bobs I can't live without.

For my hair, I always love to curl it, but I find it goes a bit frizzy and lacks some of it's sleekness and shine. To combat this, and in an attempt to get my hair game on point, I love to use the Adeva Brilliant Spray on Shine which does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a lightweight spray which smooths hair and adds an extra bit of shine. Perfect for the holidays. Body oils are also something I love to use on my legs and arms to make them look super Victoria Secret like. My favourite is a very affordable option from Dove. Their purely pampering noising body oils are great as they don't contain chunks of glitter and it makes your skin glow.

For makeup there's nothing I love more than a golden smokey eye, super cliche I know, but I love the way it looks. The original Urban Decay Naked palette has the perfect shades for this. Half Baked is great over the lid with Smog and Darkhorse blended into the crease and lower lash line, my favourite colour combo from this palette. Another one for the eyes would be the Magnifibres Brush on False Lashes which I received in some kind of beauty box. This is one of those things I was very sceptical about but it actually does work. It contains loads of white fibres which you apply on your lashes with a normal mascara wand, then just follow up with your favourite mascara. Although it can get in your eyes and be quite messy, it's a super easy way to get stand out lashes.

Cheeks I tend to go quite subtle as normally I'll go heavy on the eyes or lips so I want something that won't compete. I love highlighting blushers as they add that extra glow to skin which is really flattering. The MAX Factor Cream Puff Blushers are fab for this. If I do go red (of course) on the lips, I go in with a liner first. One I love is the MAC Trust in Red which is a nice cherry shade. Follow this up with a red lip stain and you're good to go. On the other hand if you want a nude option, a lot more practical, then MAC's Velvet Teddy would be my pick. A browny pink nude which is moisturising, can't go wrong really.

The Essie counter is my go to whenever I'm looking for a new nail polish! This winter, there are a tonne of shades I love and here are a few on my favourites.

Starting from the left, we have Cocktails and Coconuts which is my all time favourite nude nail polish. It looks very chic and is great for all year round but I love how subtle it is. For me, the shimmer running through it lifts my nails and it's one of the few nude shades which doesn't make my hands look dead. It's a beige, cream shade which applies beautifully and is perfect for school or work. Next up is Chinchilly, which is a darker, grey toned nude. This is a beautiful shade in the winter as it's muted yet dark at the same time. This is another chic one I love and it looks great on every skin tone. This isn't one I would normally gravitate towards but I'm so happy I picked it up as it's quickly becoming one of my favourites.

Moving on to some darker shades now, Under the Twilight is the perfect deep purple. As much as I love those 'almost black' shades sometimes it's nice to have a dark shade which actually has a distinct colour to it. Purple is one of my favourite nail colours to wear and this one is lovely. If you're looking for a more burgundy shade, Bahama Mama is the one for you! It's not as dark as some other burgundies I have, but it's still very winter appropriate. It has a slight purple undertone making it very vampy. This shade is also a great one for the toes!
