So with my summer holiday literally around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect excuse to pick up some new beauty bits. I’ve had my eye on a few of these bits for a while now, and I’m so happy I finally added them to my beauty stash! Safe to say, so far I’m head over heels for everything I purchased – don’t you just love it when that happens?! – and thought I must share the love! So here we go, a few new beauty bits for summer, enjoy!

I haven’t picked a new concealer since I’ve been using the NARS Soft Matte – I just never felt the need as that one was so great. For holiday wear, I do like something a tad sheerer and more lumoious, so I forked out for the Burberry Sheer Concealer. This is one of those pen applicators that you click up and the product disperses through the little brush. I really like these concealers as they tend to be more light-weight under the eyes. With that being said, they can also blend out to practically nothing, this however is the perfect balance between the two. It’s light-enough that it doesn’t feel too heavy under the eyes, but it also offers more coverage than most other concealers of this kind. That’s a huge win in my eyes, aaaand it doesn’t crease - could we really ask for anything more?! Burberry isn’t cheap, but I certainty find you get what you pay for with this.

I picked up a new product from Keihl's, one of my favourite ever brands for skincare. They are dabbling in the primer scene, and I’m here for it! When they released their Glow Moisturiser it looked right up my street, and coming from Kiehl’s I knew it would be packed full of beneficial ingredients. I expected this to be quite a pearly product, but it’s actually the opposite. It has a slight tint to it, so it helps to even out the complexion, as well as brighten. It’s not super super glowy, but it looks lovely under tinted bases, or on it’s own for a minimal makeup look. I don’t think I’ll be reaching for this loads, as I do have primers of this nature that I prefer, but I’m happy I picked it up.

This one I’m really excited about. I saw so many people rave about the Hourglass Cream Cheek Trio last year and it looked right up my street. As you may know I’m a huge fan of cream products, especially when it comes to the cheeks, so when Hourglass released this I was all smiles. The only draw back is the shades (the bronzer more specifically) aren’t super universal. If you have a medium skin tone, I think you’ll be fine, but for darker complexions I don’t think this will do a lot. The bronzer is a medium warm tone, doesn’t contain any shimmer and it’s so easy to blend. I usually grab my Beauty Blender for this and just bop it over my cheeks, temples, and a touch on my forehead. The formula is really creamy, yet stays put! I was really excited about the blush shade in here, it’s the perfect summer pinky peach. Again, it doesn’t contain shimmer, but the creaminess leaves such a gorgeous sheen to the cheeks. A Beauty Blender again will do the trick with this. As for the highlight, I tend to use my fingers for optimum colour pay off. It’s beautiful for every day, leaving the cheekbones with a lit from within glow. The light champagne tone works wonderfully on my complexion and it blends nicely over the other products.

You can never go wrong with a good old Charlotte Tilbury lip pencil, and I was after a new one to add to my stash. I picked up the shade Supersize Me which I believe is a fairly new release. This a shade or two darker than the famous Pillow Talk, so it adds a really nice amount of definition to the lips and is a lovely base for any nude, or pink lippie. These glide on and aren’t drying at all. Definitely worth checking out!

I picked up a mini of the Sachajuan Hair Repair which will be perfect for popping in my travel bag! This is a leave in product which nourishes and hydrates the hair. Even though I picked this up with the intention of travelling with it, I have used it a couple of times just to see how I like it. I’m a big lover of leave in products for my hair, and this one is a great option if you suffer with dry ends. It’s a thick formulation which I apply to the lengths and ends of my hair when it’s damp. It smells lovely and fresh, and once my hairs dry it feels silky smooth. There are a lot of these types of products on the market, but this is more intense than others I’ve tried which is perfect if you put your hair through a lot! I’m excited to continue using this when I go away.
