Valentines Day is right around the corner and whether you're heading out for a romantic date, or drinks with friends, I wanted to share some makeup picks I think would be perfect for the occasion. I'm (hopefully) going to be heading out for dinner with the bf so I know I'll be reaching for these when it's time to get ready...
Becca Backlight Priming Filter, £32: If you want that natural, lit from within look, this is the primer for you. Becca does some beautiful products and this one in particular is a stunning golden base which gives your skin the perfect glow. I'm personally a huge fan on dewy/glowing skin on a romantic night so this is a must for me.
Tarte Blush in Dollface, £23: I figured a bright pink blush was fit for the occasion, and you're going to want one which lasts the whole night no matter what you get up to. The Tarte 24 hour blushes are an amazing formula which last all day and don't apply blotchy on the skin. This shade is a gorgeous bright pink which adds a lovely flush to the cheeks.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate, £4.99: If you don't want to stick to neutral shades this Maybelline cream shadow is perfect! It's such a beautiful sheeny purple-y pink which looks so pretty and romantic on the eyes. I like to apply this on the lids and under the lower lash line to create a smokey look. You can also blend this into the outer corners, paired with a taupe shade over the lids for a more subtle look.
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Kalahari, £25: This is the perfect eye duo if you're in a rut. The two shades work perfectly together and you can go as light, or as heavy, as you please. The shade on the left is a lovely taupe-y bronze which I love over the lids, it has the perfect amount of shimmer to it which catches the light beautifully. The second shade is a matte brown, super versatile and can be blended into the crease and lower lash line. This is such a pretty duo!
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Liner, £16: If you're lucky enough to grab a sneaky kiss or two this V Day, make sure you're carrying a lip liner with you to ensure you lip colour will last. I adore the CT Pillow Talk liner, it's been my favourite for a while because the formula is beautiful and creamy and the colour is the perfect pink shade.
Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect Lipstick, £24: I love CT lipsticks as well, and I find Bitch Perfect the perfect shade to pair with the lip liner. It's a matte, neutral pink, totally spaghetti proof! If you are heading our for food, I always recommend sticking with a nude lipstick, so if it does fade, it's not too noticeable.
Fleur De Force Lipgloss in Written in the Stars, £6.99: I think lip glosses look really pretty, especially paired with a pink blush and neutral eye look. I really like this shade, it's a nice coral pink, not too overwhelming, it's very universally flattering. The formula isn't sticky at all, it's creamy and has good colour pay off.
