With a new year beginning I really wanted to share with you some of the products I'm going to be keeping in my makeup bag throughout the start of the year. There's a huge list of new products I want to get hold of this year, however there are also loads of bits which I used to adore and I would love to get the use out of again. This is all about those hidden gems in my collection, plus a few newbies too of course...
L'Oreal True Match Foundation: I loved this foundation so much and for some reason when it ran out I never repurchased it. I have it back in my collection now and I can't wait to slap it all over my face. It's a lovely luminous medium coverage foundation which looks natural and flawless on the skin. For a drugstore foundation it doesn't get much better than this!
Origins Plantscription Concealer: I used this religiously back in the day, but again, there were other concealers I reached for when this ran out. I'm so excited to have this back in my life, it's a lovely creamy concealer which covers well and doesn't cake up. This used to be talked about so much and I'm sad it's slipped to the back of my collection.
Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow: I picked this up for the festive period as I was desperate for a new bronzer and this one seemed perfect. At the moment, it's the only bronzer I'm using but it's perfect for day-to-day and in the evenings as it's matte. The highlighter is also a beautiful shade, it's a golden shimmery pan of dreams. You can't beat a bit of CT and I can't wait to use this more.
Maybelline Creamy Beige Colour Tattoo: These are my favourite cream shadows from the drugstore. I own a lot of the shades on offer and they never disappoint me. Creamy beige is a perfect base shade, it's matte and very flesh toned so it works amazingly under other shadows. I love the way any other eye shadows look and last when I use this underneath.
My MAC Palette: This took a back seat in 2016 and I'm determined to add some more shades to it this year. I picked up the 15 pan palette in the hopes to build up my collection and get more use out of it. I've added Bronze and Cranberry to the mix and I love them (not so much together though). Bronze is a lovely warm bronzy shade which I love to use on the lid and in the crease. Cranberry is one I save for when I'm feeling a bit more daring. It's a gorgeous rusty pinky shade.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Prague: In my last post I mentioned that I want to start wearing lipstick more, and chose more daring bright options. I adore a bright raspberry shade and this is a lovely one. NYX do some great lip products for an even better price and their Soft Matte Lip Creams are fab. They feel like velvet on the lips and they are very long lasting.
