I thought I would introduce a new segment into my blog where I show you a few products that have wrangled their way into my everyday routine. I always love to do tutorial type posts but find they can sometimes be too long and rambley, so this way I can talk you through a few everyday products and how I use them without putting you all to sleep.

For my base I've been loving the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation which is a new discovery for me. I've done a whole review of this here if you want a more in depth read, but in a nut shell it's a beautiful lightweight foundation which is easy to build. This is perfect for everyday as it doesn't look heavy on the skin and leaves it flawless yet natural.

After a recent trip into Debenhams I discovered a few new brands which I haven't seen in there before, Too Faced, The Balm among some other good ones! I couldn't stop myself picking up a couple of bits from The Balm as their products always look so great. I went for the Frat Boy blush and the Mary-Lou Manizer highlight. The former is a highly pigmented pinky coral shade which looks lovely on the cheeks for a natural flush of colour. You only need the tiniest amount of this and I love it layered with the highlighter on top. The highlighter is a lovely champagne shade which is very finely milled so it doesn't make you look like a disco ball with chunks of glitter over your face. Again, you only need a small amount so I can see this lasting a long time. The packaging of both of these are also super cute and another reason why I had to pick them up!

For my lips I've been keeping it very natural and only reaching for tinted lip balms. I find as the weather changes and becomes more cold my lips suffer and always get dry, so the Clarins Lip Balm Perfector in 01 Rose has been the perfect option. It gives your lips the tiniest hint of pink and it adds shine and moisture which is exactly what I've been after. All the shades in this range are great for everyday!

A trip to Boots is never complete without picking up at least one new Essie nail polish, there always seems to be a shade I don't have and need! I wanted to pick up a couple new shades to see me through the rest of the summer before cracking out my navy and burgundies again.

The two I picked up were Splash of Grenadine and Sunset Sneaks. The former is one I wanted to try for ages, and since Estee - from Essiebutton - always has it on her nails, I fingered I needed one for myself. I don't have any other shades like this, all my purple polishes are either pastels or the polar opposite and are more suitable for winter, this one however sits nicely in the middle. It's a lovely lilac shade which looks fun on the nails, but it's not too in your face, I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot in the future.

Sunset Sneaks is a classic coral shade, more pink than orange however. I always find myself searching for the perfect coral and this one is a lovely option if you wanted something a bit brighter. This is part of their summer collection so go grab it now if you like what you see. As with all Essie polishes the formula is great and they last a good 3-4 days with minimal chipping if you've put a top coat on post application. Let me know of any Essie shades you think I should buy next as I'm always looking to grow my collection.

After hearing such great things about the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation, I tried it out for myself and I love it! I wanted a light weight foundation to see me through the summer and this was on the top of my list and with an SPF of 15 it seemed like a good buy.

My first thought was 'wow this smells a lot like suncream', not a massive fan but I can get over that as the product itself is great. You need to give it a good shake pre application as it is a watery consistency so it needs to be mixed slightly in the bottle, once you squeeze it out it is a bit runny but it sinks into the skin beautifully. I tend to use about a 5 pence piece amount and that covers my whole face, it builds really well so you can always use a bit more where you need it. It looks super natural on the skin and I like to use it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush - as always - to give it a flawless finish. This isn't a heavy coverage foundation making it perfect for the summer and if you add a couple more layers it continues to blend beautifully and doesn't leave your skin looking cakey.

This is a fairly pricey product, it's Chanel after all, but totally worth it if you like investing a bit more in your bases. I  saved up my Boots advantage card points for this one, so I would recommend you doing the same if it's a little out of your budget!
